LuxRender – an open source software rendering system for physically correct image synthesis

LuxRender is a physically based and unbiased rendering engine. Based on state of the art algorithms, LuxRender simulates the flow of light according to physical equations, thus producing realistic images of photographic quality.

LuxRender has exporters available for the 3D Applications like – Blender, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3Ds Max, Maxon Cinema 4D, SoftImage XSI. Exporters are plug-ins for 3D Applications which translate the scene into a format that can be read and rendered by LuxRender.
